Adair Turner, or Lord Turner is the Chairman of the Government's Climate Change Committee in the UK. He is also the Chairman of the regulatory body which oversees the UK financial services industry: the Financial Services Authority. He is also a Visiting Professor at the London School of Economics and at Cass Business School, City University.
The Financial Services Authority produced a report suggesting a improvement of global banking regulation in response to the credit crunch and collape of global banking luquidity. Turner will lead the authority as it faces challenges with rebuilding a tarnished reputation.
Adair Turner is also trustee of the World Wildlife Fund UK, Chairman of the Centre for Sustainable Investment and Vice-Chairman of Britain in Europe, the leading pro-euro lobby group. His recent book 'Just Capital – The Liberal Economy' is published by Macmillan.
