The London Speaker Bureau have plenty of speakers, but two are especially busy at the moment. Ken Livingstone is busy preparing for his battle for Mayor of London against Boris Johnson in 2012 - a battle that many think he has the great advantage of winning.
Another busy bee in the speaker bureau is Hamish Taylor, currently acting as a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Bankers, a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Transport, and chairs the EMEA advisory board for Emory University from whom he also recently received the “Sheth Distinguished International Alumnus” award.
Busy speakers mean successful speakers, and this might just be the ticket for bringing success to your business. Hiring a successful motivational speaker means that they can pass their success stories onto your staff, inspiring them to be as successful and more. Ken Livingstone's Fight for Mayor
There's another fight going on inside the Labour party at the moment - not the one for Labour leadership, but one for the second largest individual mandate in Europe and control of a £14bn budget. We haven't heard much about it because of the fight for the Labour leader, and as the press have been preoccupied with this they have not covered the fight for Mayor of London.
The current Mayor, Boris Johnson, is due to come to the end of his term in May 2012 and the Labour candidate has already been chosen: Ken Livingstone.
Many people think this gives him a huge advantage over Boris Johnson (if he runs again). As Labour will have plenty of time to organise and raise funds, they will have more time to prepare than the Tories. However, many also believe that Ken Livingstone will be welcomed back as Mayor with open arms, not neededing a huge advantage to be the favourite.
Decide for yourself by reading more about him at his biography page.

Sebastian Coe
Whilst Sebastian Coe has been managing the hype and celebration of the 2012 London Olympics, another milestone in his own career seems to be have been overlooked. It was just over 30 years ago that Seb Coe first showed hsi mettle by winning the first of his two Olympic gold medals.
Both came from the 1500 metre race, yet this was not his signature event. He was more famous for running the 800 metre. The same event was to be repeated four years later in Los Angeles, and yet six days before the event Seb Coe was beaten by his arch nemesis, Steve Ovett.
He ran through the finish line with his arms raised in immediate celebration of his success, something which he worked so hard for and eventually achieved. It is these type of expriences he can pass on through motivational speaking. Learn more about Sebastian Coe and how to hire him as a motivational speaker at his biography page.

Motivational Speaking and Education
One of the more unusual places to find a motivational speaker is at a college or school. It is not surprising that many children and young adults need a little motivation, however research shows that they are more likely to be motivated by someone who isn't a teacher or parent.
Bringing in an outsider to motivate the students brings a new life into studying. A motivational speaker can encourage students to work hard, work towards what they are best at, find out what they excel in, motivate them to graduate or to go out and get their dream job. They can have an enornmous effect on students, especially because of their young age. Giving them a sense of ownership of their own future gives them a new perspective on life and encourages them to become something they can find pride in.
Speakers like Ken Livingstone can have a magnificant effect on young people, leading them into a politics or business future.

Why Hire a Motivational Speaker?
Why should you hire a motivational speaker? There are many different situations that can benefit from a motivational speech or seminar - and this is not only limited to businesses.
There are many different types of speaker with a variety of backgrounds and experiences. However, they all have one thing in common: to motivate and inspire their audience, no matter who they are. With each different audience, there are different factors that effect motivational success and different people have different goals and objectives. By matching the speaker to the audience, it is more likely that the speaker will be able to connect with the audience on a more common ground.
For exmaple, Andrew Neil would be best suited to a business audience who are closely connected to broadcasting, editing or writing.

What's stopping you?
So you've got big plans for the future and you know how to achieve what you want. So what's stopping you? We all have doubts and these may come from different areas in our lives, however there are some doubts that can easily be identified and rectified if they are looked into soon enough. Maybe a little motivational speaker insight from the London Speaker Bureau will help you out...
For example, coming out of your comfort zone is one challenge that many people face with many different situations in their lives. One of the best ways to tackle this is to make your comfort zone wider. The comfort zone is the centre of a bigger diagram: in the centre is your comfort zone, around that is your learning zone and around that on the outside is your panic zone. Managing your life so things are not let into the panic zone is one of the biggest challenges - however the solution is simple. Make your learning zone bigger and try to stretch your comfort zone even further.
Knowledge is power - something that any motivational speaker can tell you about.

Diversity in the Motivational Speakers Industry
Hundreds of motivational speakers regularly deliver their speeches and messages to audiences across the world, but it is not widely known that diversity has long been coming to this industry. For many years, speaker Jimmy Cabrera was the only Hispanic certified speaker worldwide.
To make this fact more widely known, there have been speakers association conferences held across the world, spreading the word out about multinational speakers and the greater need for them, especially in developing business cultures. The London Speaker Bureau have worldwide offices to cater to all nationalities of business, conferences and people in need of motivational speakers. The world-renowned De Posada is one of the few multinational motivational speakers, having achieved such success that he was honored with a CSP:
De Posada reflects: "Attaining the CSP has been one of the most difficult achievements of my speaking career. The demanding requirements of the process include having a high number of clients, high-level income, collecting testimonial letters, arranging conference calls between NSA and clients, and meeting standards of record keeping. At times, the process was a nightmare, but earning the CSP has been a career-long goal for me." He says, "As I continued my speaking career I also felt duty-bound to achieve it as a Latino, since Cabrera had been sole Hispanic recipient since the NSA founding in 1974. I am proud to achieve my goal and be recognized with the CSP by my NSA colleagues."
