Karan Bilimoria - Balancing Successors
Karan Bilimoria, the founder of Cobra Beer, has found a happy balance when bringing in a successor. He stood back from the business and let McKeon, the successor, get on with the business operations. However, he was always available for advice and spent time once a week organising any business issues or problems with McKeon.
It's not the first time Karan Bilimoria has handed over part of the business. Throughout Cobra Beer;s lifetime, he has had a variety of financial and accounts managers take over his work, including Arthur Young (now Ernst and Young) and Dynshaw Italia (of ebookers.com). Both were very successful in their roles.
Bilimoria started the recruiment process for his next successor early, so as to hopefully repeat the impressive impact from the former two. Cobra reached a size that would attract both top candidates and enable the company to afford new employees. The company then worked with leading headhunters across the country, ending with Bilimoria personally interviewing twenty hopefuls, finally deciding on McKeon; his excellent presentation skills persuading Bilimoria that he should be his successor.

Motivational speakers help students
How old do you have to be to speak with conviction? Would your child be able to visit children in Grade 5 at Ecole Viscount Alexander to guide them on a mission to find their passions that will lead them to success, happiness and fulfillment. There is a motivational speaker will be 10 year old Samantha Wilson.
It is a pilot test to be performed in this school as part of The Passion Test, a book co-authored by Janet Bray Attwood.
Samantha Wilson will talk for 45 minutes and encourage the children to take part in several motivational tasks such as identifying their number one passion and drawing pictures of things they like; the type of tasks carried out by adult motivational speakers!
Gerry Robinson - No nonsense approach
Sir Gerry's history can be seen in Wikipedia, but this does not detail his real skill, which is managing people and his soft skills such as being able to emphatise with others and the situations and stresses they face in day to day situation. Its this ability and understanding that allows him to get the best out of others. You'll see that in his programmes he levels the playing field with the autocrats http://www.open2.net/nhs/ and enables the people who see teh solutions to get a voice and for that voice to be heard. This is motivation is the value he gives and empowers people with.
Leadership Through Motivational Speakers
However, while these strategies may work for most people, some individuals may have other, specific motivators, such as money, promotions, holidays or team-building exercises. It is therefore important that individual interests are identified and taken into account in order to successfully motivate every member of the team.
It is important to recognise that a motivational leader is only the beginning. In the long run, people must learn to motivate themselves. In order to get the best results, consult experts such as The London Speaker Bureau, to find suitable motivational speakers for your company.

Motivational speaking is good for you!
However, for motivational speaking to be successful, the event must be managed correctly. There are many factors to consider, and you cannot rely on the speaker to carry the entire event.
At The London Speaker Bureau, we have created a new weblog that specialises in motivational speaker news, entertainment, advice and information about individual speakers. We already have a variety of articles, but we'd love some more readers! Get it right the first time.
The weblog is located at http://amotivationalspeaker.wordpress.com/.
